This Privacy Policy explains what information Groundwork Books, LLC ("Groundwork Books," "we," "us") collects through our website and services, how we use it, and your choices. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Information you provide directly: your name, email, business type, and message when you submit our contact form; scheduling details when you book a call through Calendly; and billing information when you purchase a plan through Stripe (Stripe processes and stores your full payment details, we do not).
Information collected automatically: when you submit our contact form, we also receive technical details like your IP address, general device/browser type, and the page you came from, which we use to help identify and prevent spam submissions. We do not use tracking cookies. We run our own analytics (Matomo, hosted on our own server) to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets no cookies, masks part of your IP address, and that data is never shared with or sold to anyone. Embedded third-party services (Stripe, Calendly) may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, schedule calls, provide and bill for our services, prevent spam and abuse, and communicate with you about your account. We do not sell your information.
We share information only as needed to operate: with service providers that support our business (such as Stripe for payments, Calendly for scheduling, and the accounting or job-management software we help you set up), with professionals you've asked us to coordinate with (such as a referred CPA or attorney), as required by law, or with your consent. Each of these third parties has its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with Florida law.
We retain client financial records and account information for as long as needed to provide our services and as required for legitimate business or legal purposes after an engagement ends. Upon request following cancellation or termination, we will return or delete your data as described in our Terms of Service.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the contact information we hold about you, or opt out of non-essential communications, by emailing us at the address below. Certain records may need to be retained where required by law or an active service agreement.
Our website and services are intended for business use by adults and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
